Several starts, aborts, restarts, false starts, and getting swamped by other things later, I’ve finally overhauled the old nameplate site. Hopefully this time around I actually stick to updating on a semi-regular basis. The new digs are powered by nanoc which is a Ruby-based static site generator that I feed Markdown pages for formatting. In some respects this is a revisiting of the old days when I built webpages in undergrad with WebMake, a similar Perl-based tool which hasn’t been updated in about a decade now. Given that it is rather easy to write Markdown on many mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, I should be able to avoid many Hiyori problems:
